Okay, normally I don't do much in the way of contests and things like that. I figure people who like this blog will follow it  while those who don't like it won't follow it no matter what swag I offer. I still believe that. And I promise not to do this very much. Cross my heart. 

However, my Facebook author page now has 473 "likes." I like round, even numbers--numbers that end in zeroes. It's easier for my limited brain to process.

And, as I start looking forward to the release of The Kindling this summer, it would be nice to have 500 likes/followers. It's also pledge week on PBS, so I thought I'd join the fun

So, I'm sponsoring a promotional thingy. As soon as I hit 500 I will have a drawing using all the names who have liked my page. The winner will get a plate of Meredith's justifiably famous homemade oreos. Trust me, these are really, really good and everyone who tries them loves them.  Teachers at school fight over who will teach my children solely because they want this stuff at Christmas. I will ship this anywhere in the continental U.S. (If you observe Lent and this will interfere with your observance, I'll wait until it's over).
