L. C. Lewis is the author of a magnificent, multi-volume historical fiction series set around the War of 1812. Believe me--she knows her stuff as a writer. She is also a warm and generous person who was kind enough to read The Kindling and to ask me some questions. It was fun to think about some of the things that I live each day but don't think much about. At any rate, if you are interested in how I feel about teaching, how I got the idea for the book, similarities between my book and Harry Potter, and more her interview with me is here.
